ANNABEL NEASHAM has quickly established herself as a top flight trainer after commencing her training career in 2020.
Born in England. Annabel gained invaluable performance in Australia initially under Gai Waterhouse and then as assistant trainer for Ciaron Maher, establishing his Sydney stable. This period resulted in high profile victories for horses like AWAY GAME, PRAGUE and DUBIOUS.
It took little time for Annabel to record her first Group 1 win as a trainer with ex European galloper ZAAKI who scored in the Gr 1 Doomben Cup (2020). ZAAKI has recorded 5 other Australian wins including the Gr 1 Underwood Stakes (Caulfield), Gr 1 Mackinnon Stks (Flemington) and the rich All Star Mile (Flemington). Since arriving in Australia, Zaaki has amassed pirzemoney of over $6.5m.
MO'UNGA become Annabel's second individual Group 1 winner when he won the 2021 Gr 1 Rosehill Guineas, before recording another top flight win in the Gr 1 Winx Stakes at Randwick against the open horses.
In April 2022, Annabel Neasham established a new satellite stable on the GOLD COAST to compliment her headquarters at WARWICK FARM. This move strengthens the stable to target both the annual $11.5m Gold Coast Magic Millions Raceday and the rich Queensland Winter Racing Carnival.
