TONY GOLLAN collected the 2022-2023 Queensland Metropolitan Premiership title, his tenth consecutive win.
A proven Group 1 winning trainer, Tony shot to prominence thanks to the Eureka Stud bred and raced siblings TEMPLE OF BOOM and SPIRIT OF BOOM. The Group 1 trophy cabinet for the ‘Boom’ duo features the Doomben 10,000, William Reid Stakes (Moonee Valley) and The Galaxy (Randwick).
KRONE, VEGA ONE and JONKER all came to Gollan from other stables as older tried horses. The Gollan polish ensured each claimed maiden Group 1 wins in 2021.
KRONE added to the stables Group 1 tally by securing the time honoured Coolmore Classic at Rosehill in 2021. That victory was off the back of Group 2 win at Randwick, again demonstrating Gollan’s ability to fire outside his home state.
VEGA ONE added further silverware from Queensland winning the Group 1 Kingsford Smith Cup at Eagle Farm in 2021.
JONKER continued the stables strong interstate strike rate winning the Group 1 Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley in 2021.
The stables black type trophy cabinet is already over flowing. In addition to his four Group 1 wins, Tony has prepared four Group 2 winners, seven Group 3 winners and a further forty one Listed winners. The stable has also been a dominant force on the $10m Magic Millions raceday 7 feature race winners.
Operating well-appointed stables at the Eagle Farm racecourse, Tony is a regular visitor to both Sydney and Melbourne for top level carnival racing.
