DUBIOUS is a first season sire that I rate very highly.
I have purchased two colts by him in 2023. As both a racehorse and sire, DUBIOUS has a very similar profile to champion sire I AM INVINCIBLE.
Trainer ANNABEL NEASHAM shares my enthusiasm for DUBIOUS for obvious reasons. Annabel trained DUBIOUS when she was assistant trainer to Ciaron Maher.
Annabel has a large number of Dubious 2yo’s in the yard, and she paid up to $500k for them at the sales earlier this year.
Our colt is an athletic type with quality. He appeals to me as a late season winter 2yo who has scope to develop as a very nice 3yo up to 1600m.
His half brother TIGER ROAR was an outstanding racehorse with his career cut short by injury.
This colt looks very much like TIGER ROAR who clearly had Group 1 speed and ability
He is well placed to target rich QTIS bonuses as a 3yo and also the $20m Magic Millions Race Series.
Annabel and her team will provide him with ample opportunity to maximum his potential from her bases at Eagle Farm (QLD) and Warwick Farm (NSW).

DUBIOUS is an exciting young sire, his oldest progeny now two year-olds.
DUBIOUS was prepared by Annabel Neasham whilst assistant trainer to Ciaron Maher. DUBIOUS was a highly intelligent and precocious 2yo.
Boasting a very similar racing profile to his sire NOT A SINGLE DOUBT, the brilliant DUBIOUS was a debut winner in the stallion making Group 3 Breeders Plate at Randwick. Like his father, DUBIOUS was later runner up in the Magic Millions 2yo Classic at the Gold Coast.
DUBIOUS trained on in the winter of his 2yo year to win the Group 2 Champagne Classic at Doomben.
Like NOT A SINGLE DOUBT and I AM INVINCIBLE, DUBIOUS retired with Group 1 ability but without a Group 1 win on his racing CV. This also made his initial service fees and yearlings more affordable.

MELROSE PLACE is doing a very good job at stud for a young mare.
Herself a LISTED winner in Melbourne, MELROSE PALCE is the dam of 3 winners from 4 to race, including 2021 Champion Singapore 3yo TIGER ROAR.
Unraced as a 2yo, TIGER ROAR really hit his straps at 3. He has won 7 and placed in 5 of his 15 starts in Singapore for trainer Michael Clements.
TIGER ROAR put in an amazing performance to come from last to win the prestigious Singapore 3yo Sprint (1200m) at Kranji in 2021.
TIGER ROAR has proven to be incredibly versatile winning over 1200m, 1400m and up to 1800m.
Our colt very much resembles TIGER ROAR, which I always find a positive when buying siblings to top class gallopers.
I think our colt has every chance to follow in the path of his sibling TIGER ROAR.

In April 2022, Annabel Neasham established a new satellite stable in QUEENSLAND to compliment her NEW SOUTH WALES headquarters at WARWICK FARM, as well as full time boxes also at ROSEHILL.
In June 2023, Annabel added a full time barn in the Gold Coast Hinterland township of Canungra, further bolstering her Queensland training facilities.
From her EAGLE FARM & CANUNGRA bases, Annabel is very well placed her ability to target both the annual $11.5m Gold Coast Magic Millions Raceday and the rich Queensland Winter Racing Carnival.
In August 2023, Annabel completed her three state strategy by adding a full time stable at PAKENHAM in Victoria.
